Turbine posted an urgent message today encouraging all Lord of the Rings Online players to change their passwords immediately "due to an increase in the reports of compromised LOTRO accounts and hacked accounts in other games."

Online Community Specialist Sapience went into a little more detail in a post on the game's official forums. Basically, Turbine knows that many players use the same login information for numerous games and wants to remind players to change their passwords regularly and keep them unique.
